I should update a little about what's going on. I put the miata on the road again and got rid of the Escort. It's just an awesome feeling to get back into that familiar cockpit and feel 110% at home again.
I managed to finish most of what I wanted to do with the car during its downtime. Now its time to focus more on what I really need, and save the rest for later use. I've been down in the dumps lately so I began to spend stupidly on random shit here and there.
Heres some of the progress I've made with the car in the past few weeks. It's suprising how much I can get done within a few days time when the fire is under my ass.
One of the things I did was I checked on the potential rust areas, and removed any if there was. I did a quick wash with the help of Nick (thanks man!) and things quite smoothly.

Ok you're probably thinking wtf when you see this. Well actually that night it was getting late and I forgot to clean the bumper. So.... I took it inside and used the shower hahaha.

Fucking gross rust behind the front wheel on the driver side... Pissed me off. I actually think it grew because this fender has been replaced before from an accident. They probably coated the underside of the fender so well that I wouldn't act as a sacraficial anode. Instead the body was attacked by the corrosion... =(
Cleaned out the rust so I could paint this area. Thank god it wasn't eating through.

Here you can see the hardtop I got too. Thanks Jfok!! This guy was a trooper... since I couldn't drive my own car out to pick up the hardtop, he drove down with me, dropped it off at my house and drove home top down in the middle of winter! I owe you one mang!!
When I got the car back together, I wanted to do a cruise. So I called out J. Kan, and J. Fok. D. Chua couldn't get his insurance done in time so it was just the three of us. J. Fok's friend Eric also came out with us and it was tonnes of fun. Sorry I'm quite slow guys...

Impressions of Hankook RS2 (not very accurate):
AWESOME GRIP in the dry. 225 is definately a lot of grip for my underpowered car. It was getting really sketch in the rain.. especially starting uphill on Taylor Way. Fucking wheel spin. I threw the winters back on the car the next day to deal with the colder temps.
I'm not really sure what I'll have to update for awhile. Maybe I'll post something about my school term project. It should be tonnes of fun.
